Exactly 40 years ago, at 11 am to be precise, Koen and Kris Wauters performed with Clouseau for the very first time at the CC Sint-Genesius-Rode. After that the train never stopped again. Forty years later, the iconic band is still as popular, with more than 200,000 fans coming to celebrate this milestone in no fewer than 13 packed Sports Palaces. The kick-off of the concert series will be given next Friday, December 20, 2024, where the band will play at the Sportpaleis for the 125th (!) time! It will undoubtedly be a spectacular culmination of a busy festive year!
Clouseau played no fewer than 124 times at the Sportpaleis between 2000 and 2017, for almost 2 million enthusiasts. It started with Clouseau & orchestra and was followed by many other impressive series such as: ‘Clouseau special editions’ (2001 & 2002), ‘Clouseau in the middle’ (2003), ‘Clouseau inside’ (2004), ‘Clouseau in ‘ t lang’ (2005), ‘Clouseau in ‘t Dubbel’ (2006), ‘Clouseau 20’ (2007), ‘Clouseau crescendo’ (2008), ‘Clouseau 10×10’ (2009), ‘Clouseau the last round’ (2010), ‘Clouseau central’ (2014-2015), ‘Clouseau dances’ (2016-2017). And they add another impressive series to that list within exactly four days: ‘Clouseau40’. Between December 20, 2024 and January 19, 2025, the Wauters brothers and their masterful backing band will welcome more than 200,000 visitors to the dance floor in the Sportpaleis, spread over 13 shows!
A career spanning 40 years naturally requires a festive production. With 140 speakers, 4 km of LED strips, more than 1,000 ‘moving lights’, 325 m² LED screens, 110 m² LED floor and an impressive catwalk of up to 50 meters long, it promises to be an unforgettable and spectacular show! Anyone who has ever attended a Clouseau concert in ‘t Sportpaleis knows that they are in for a big party. Expect more than three hours of top entertainment with a truckload of hits and evergreens. It will be a special and emotional evening, with lots of dancing, hits and passion!
Clouseau needs no introduction. Koen and Kris Wauters’ band has remained popular for decades and has since grown into a national musical heritage.
