Winner 3-1 over OL on Sunday evening, PSG were crowned fall champions on the 15th day of Ligue 1 and are ahead of their passing times from last season.
After two consecutive draws in Ligue 1 against Nantes (1-1) then Auxerre (0-0), PSG returned to victory on Sunday evening by logically winning against OL (3-1). Still undefeated in Ligue 1 this season, PSG has 37 points after 15 days, 7 more than OM and Monaco, who were held in check this weekend, respectively against Lille (1-1) and Reims ( 0-0).
When PSG are fall champions, they often win the title at the end
Consequently, PSG is assured of being leader at the end of the first leg phase and the first 17 days. As for four seasons now, PSG are crowned autumn champions, which is not an official title (except for our Marseille friends), but is always a good sign. In its history, PSG have been autumn champions 15 times and have been crowned French champions 11 times during the same season.
The last time PSG were fall champions, but did not win the title at the end of the season, was in the first season of the QSI era, the 2011-2012 season, with the replacement of 'Antoine Kombouaré by Carlo Ancelotti halfway through and a second place in the end behind Olivier Giroud's Montpellier.
PSG has only been champion of France once without having been autumn champion
And the only time PSG was champion of France without having been autumn champion was in 2014-2015. Marcelo Bielsa's OM were in the lead at halfway, with two points ahead of OL and three ahead of PSG, but it was Laurent Blanc's men who finished champions with 83 points, or 8 more than OL and 14 more than OM.
Coming back to our 2024/2025 season, Luis Enrique's PSG is therefore undefeated after 15 days with 11 wins and 4 draws, or 37 points. Last season, PSG had 36 points after 15 days because they lost 3-2 against Nice on the 5th day and had a record of 11 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss.

Also interesting to note that Luis Enrique's PSG 2024/2025 scored 40 goals in Ligue 1 after 15 days, compared to 38 last season with Kylian Mbappé after as many days. Like last season, however, PSG conceded 12 goals after 15 days, but this season has the best defense (tied with Monaco). Last season, Nice only conceded 6 goals after 15 days.
Already autumn champion and ahead of its passing times, PSG could widen the gap at the top of Ligue 1 even further before the holidays since it will travel to its runner-up Monaco this Wednesday evening in an advanced match of the 16th day. In the event of a victory, PSG would have ten points ahead of Monaco and OM, who will play their 16th day on January 5 against Le Havre.
