Kasper Dolberg added two goals to his tally and now has 12 goals. His double against Sint-Truiden was certainly one of the easiest of his career.

Kasper Dolberg failed to find the net against Beerschot, and therefore scored two goals against Sint-Truiden. The first was the result of a great collective attack concluded by Dolberg, who only had to push the ball into the back of the net. “It’s something we practice a lot on, to incorporate those phases into our game,” Dolberg said.

“When I saw the ball go over me, I knew I had to position myself in case the ball was thrown back. Dreyer did it well. That’s the kind of phase where we’re all having a lot of fun,” said the Danish striker.

The penalty, however, was obtained in a… strange way. The Canaries goalkeeper, Kokubo, put the ball on the ground and passed it to his defender, who was not paying attention. Dolberg then grabbed the ball and offered it to Dreyer, who missed in an incomprehensible way, but was then hit by Belaid: penalty.

“Maybe I need to stop being so generous,” Dolberg joked. “I could have scored myself. But what happened? Honestly, I didn’t understand at the time,” he then admitted. He acted by reflex, taking advantage of the incomprehension in the Trudonnaire defense.

“I’m still not sure. Suddenly I found myself with the ball and I felt like I was doing something wrong. I thought there would be a free kick or something. It didn’t seem right, but… yeah, that’s not my problem,” Kasper Dolberg concludes with a smile.
