The 195th Manchester derby gets under way this afternoon…

Men’s Team

City’s soul and spirit is there, says Pep

We welcome Manchester United to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 15 December in a 16:30 (UK) start.

It’s the first meeting of Pep Guardiola and Ruben Amorim in the Premier League after the United boss moved to England last month.

As we have with most of the division, City have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent seasons – winning five of our last six league meetings.

That includes 4-1 and 3-1 wins at home to kick start the run in to two of our last four titles, as well as the 6-3 humiliation of our cross-city rivals back in October 2022.

While neither side goes into the game in sparkling form this time around, that often doesn’t matter when it comes to Manchester derbies.

Come Sunday afternoon it will be all about getting those bragging rights until we meet again.
