Directed by Álex de La Iglesia, the thriller follows Amparo, a widow who seeks to discover how her husband lost his life after a car explosion. She gets help from Richi, a former police officer converted into a security agent. They discover several deaths which turn out to be murders committed using the same modus operandi. A mascot from the 1992 Universal Exhibition in Seville is found each time at crime scenes. A hunt ensues to find out who this mysterious serial killer is.

Thirteen years after the 1992 Seville World's Fair, a mysterious serial killer commits several murders while making reference to the event. Amparo (Marian Alvarez) and law enforcement investigators try to find the link between the murderer, the victims and the World's Fair. Why does the serial killer, who burns all his victims alive, leave a mascot from the event at the scene of the crime? What message does he want to send? Amparo, who is kept away from the investigation, then tries to solve this mystery alone, accompanied by Richi (Fernando Valdivielso).
