Egyptian press reports revealed that South African Pitso Mosimane, the former Al-Ahly coach, who has extensive experience and a distinguished record in the Egyptian League, is the most prominent of the main options to take over the technical task of the Zamalek team.
The Egyptian “Al-Watan Sort” website highlighted the names nominated to coach Zamalek in the coming period after the departure of Portuguese Jose Gomez to the Saudi Al-Fataj Club.
The list included the name of Tunisian Mandir Al-Kabir, former coach of the Raja Raja Sports Club.
In the event of a contract with the great Tunisian coach, the latter will supervise the training of Moroccan Mahmoud Bentaik, the former player of the Raja Sports Team and a professional player in the Zamalek team.
The most prominent names nominated to succeed Gomez are as follows:
– Pitso Mosimane, Al-Ahly coach, who won the African Champions League title with the Red Giants in 2019.
– Brazilian Rogero Micale, former Olympic team coach and supervisor of the 2005 Egypt national team.
– Carlos Queiroz, the former coach of the Egyptian national team, who led the Pharaohs to reach the final match of the 2022 African Cup of Nations.
– Argentine Hector Cuper, former coach of the Egyptian national team, who led the Pharaohs to participate in the World Cup.
– Tunisian coach Mounzer El-Kebir, former coach of the Tunisian national team and Esperance.
