Aged 34, she is the oldest Miss.
“It was a little girl’s dream at first, then it turned into a young woman’s desire,” she told LCI, for her first television interview since her election.

After Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the crown goes to Martinique. Succeeding Ève Gilles, Angélique Angarni-Filopon was elected Miss France 2025 this Saturday, December 14, live on TF1. Between the sequins and the flamboyant outfits, she captivated the public. The new beauty queen notably danced to the sound of the biggest disco hits alongside all her competitors.
She wants to get involved with women affected by breast cancer
The night was short for Angélique Angarni-Filopon but happiness dominated this Sunday morning, barely a few hours after her coronation: “I had time to rest for an hour, I am very happy and I can’t wait for what’s next”she confides at the microphone of LCI. “It’s incredible”she relishes on our airwaves for her first television interview since the competition.
“It was a little girl’s dream at first, then it turned into a young woman’s desire. I had a real desire to represent something different”tells the story of the woman who becomes the first representative of her island to be elected. At 34, she also became the first Miss France in her thirties. A status that she did not seek but of which she is proud: “I took the train at the right station! The efforts paid off.”

Although she grew up in Île-de-France, she returned to live in Martinique two years ago, where her family is from: “My late grandparents instilled West Indian values in me and my father always took us on vacation to Martinique. We spent four or five months a year there.”
Spending her youth between France and overseas beaches, she also experienced more difficult times: “My mother had breast cancer and I didn’t cope very well with it. I would like to help women who are victims of breast cancer. Makeup and hairdressing help me gain self-confidence so it can also help them take care of themselves and reveal their beauty after illness.” A noble cause that she will be responsible for defending over the next 12 months.

The program for the new Miss France therefore promises to be busy. She will travel across France and the whole world but that doesn’t scare Angélique Angarni-Filopon since in real life, she is… a flight attendant! A job that she will have to put on hold, until she in turn passes on her crown next year.
