After the end of Sporting-Boavista (3-2)Rodrigou Abascal praised the team’s performance in Alvalade, spoke about the lions’ pressure and pointed to the next game with AVS SAD. “We are working hard, today we had a great performance. We didn’t get the result but I think we left a good image and it will serve us well for the next game”, he began by referring to Sport TV.
What was missing? “We all know that Sporting are in first place, they have great quality. They had goal opportunities, they scored and we, with our tools, played a great game, we managed to score two goals. We should have been a little more solid in defense. We didn’t get a point but it’s a win against AVS.”
Pressure from Sporting’s side: “Big teams always have pressure but we came to win. We are not in the position we want in the table, we have to try to get as many points as possible in every game.
