It's a show spectacular each year which aims to elect the young woman who will represent France. The election of Miss France 2025 takes place at the Arena Futuroscope in Poitiers with Jean-Pierre Foucault. The host who will crown her 30th Miss there. At her side: Cindy Fabre, the boss of Miss since summer 2022, the members of the 100% female jury chaired by singer Sylvie Vartan but also, Thierry Baumann. Not present on the set, he appears on the screen overlooking the stage but its role is significant. In fact, it is in charge of calling the French to vote several times throughout the show.
The 56 year old man has been participating in the show since 2011. Questioned by our colleagues from actu.fr, Thierry Baumann spoke about this emblematic evening. “I started on December 3, 2011 for the election of Miss France 2012, Delphine Wespiser. This competition is an institution and it’s really nice to be part of it.. It’s a pre-Christmas event that brings together people from different generations.” he said.
Then, the telephone and SMS voting man added regarding his role: “It's true that my role is very defined: I guide viewers through the voting instructions (…) It's an expected moment: when I give the signal, people are ready to vote to support their favorite miss . And I can't get enough of it, because I'm not a voting leader all year round!“. Indeed, Thierry Baumann is also “chocolatier”. Surprising, right?

But yes, what does Thierry Baumann do the rest of the year? During these end-of-year holidays, the journalist who is also an actor is omnipresent. And for good reason… He appears in the advertising clip of the chocolate brand Lindt. Suffice to say that he doesn't have time to get bored with all these other activities. Furthermore, he was the voice-over from “Victoires de la musique” in 2013 and 2015 and author and voice-over of Molières on France 2 in 2019 and 2020. Still to our colleagues at actu.fr, he declares regarding his activity outside of Miss France: “During the year, I move from shadow to light, from one activity to another and I like it. I can move from my media training coaching activity with a business manager to my acting activity (…) And what people don't know is that my main activity is music: I am an author, composer, performer, even if I haven't released anything yet“.
