And to add: “I would never have imagined that thirty years later I would be here presenting the same show.” To salute his loyalty to the program, Évelyne Jarre's husband was entitled to a most spectacular entrance. Wearing a sparkling jacket, he made a sensational appearance as he stepped off a platform to the title Daddy Cool by Boney M. Disco balls with his initials, play of light and smoke, the production saw the big picture.

For this most festive disco set, the 77-year-old host was accompanied by former beauty queens. Laure Belleville, Miss France 1996, did not go unnoticed. A presence which must have brought back many memories to Jean-Pierre Foucault. And for good reason, she is the very first Miss crowned under the aegis of Marseillais. Other winners of the competition paraded under the gaze of Jean-Pierre Foucault. In order to definitively put these rumors to rest, Jean-Pierre Foucault has indicated that he absolutely does not wish to give up his microphone. “For now, let's be honest, I'm not harming the program. If I felt that I no longer had the strength to do it and that I was a negative, of course I would stop. For the moment, TF1 is not asking me to do it and I don’t want to”he assured. Although always ready to provide live coverage of Miss France, he knows that “this is not going to last for decades”. “For thirty years, it’s already not bad!
