EXCEPTIONAL
The matches follow one another and are similar for the Argentinian goalkeeper. Once again, he was imperial against the Lille attackers. On several occasions, the audience chanted his name, thus saluting one of the heroes of the evening. He got everything out, or almost. On the Lille goal, he can't do much. What a game !
THE TOPS
Geoffrey Kondogbia delivered a great performance, especially against high quality opponents. A little less interesting in midfield at the end of the match, but bravo to him!
Unlike Højbjerg, he was able to get away from the intensity put on by Lille and scratch certain balls. Like Kondogbia and Rulli, he is one of the best Olympians of the match. A valuable save after Rulli's only recovery error. He is replaced by Cornélius in the 74th minute of play.
SATISFYING
The young Englishman was not stingy with his efforts this afternoon against Lille, multiplying his defensive withdrawals. However, he lacked lucidity in possession of the ball, very often making the wrong choices, despite his involvement in numerous Marseille actions. Bilal Nadir replaces him at the end of the match.
This piston role seems to suit him perfectly. The Brazilian put in a solid performance, being very active in his lane throughout the match. Note his good inspiration on the Marseille goal.
Author of a nice goal, the former Nantais also delivered a good match on the defensive level. While he was predicted to have a difficult evening against Zhegrova, he was able, well helped by Kondogbia, to contain Kosovar brilliantly.
Scorer against Saint-Étienne, the French international was again decisive against Lille. On the opening score of Olympian, he perfectly offset Quentin Merlin after a first quarter of an hour where he had been invisible. As usual, he increased his runs but was ineffective in front of goal. In the 57th minute, he missed his one-on-one in front of Lucas Chevalier.
It remains as valuable as ever due to its regularity and solidity.
The Marseille striker was very interesting in his ability to keep the ball with his back to the game, causing numerous mistakes from Diakité. He nevertheless showed technical imprecision in the last gesture, like his missed pass for Murillo in the first period, or in the 56th minute, where he found Chevalier's post after having eliminated him. He is replaced by Jonathan Rowe at the end of the match (88th).
Entering just after Bafodé Diakité's equalizer, he tried to create the feat. He probably should have gotten a penalty at the very end of the match!
AVERAGE
After a very good start to the match, particularly defensively, the captain of the Danish selection experienced many difficulties against the Lille pressing. He also commits an avoidable foul on the free kick which leads to the equalizer signed by Diakité. Not his best game, even if he could have got a penalty just before the equalizer.
Nothing exceptional, but still a good match for the Panamanian. Defensively solid and very comfortable in the recovery, he seems more and more comfortable in this role of right central defender.
His 20 minutes on the pitch were difficult, he clearly had difficulty getting in tune with his teammates this evening. He lacked impact.
Entering the game as a left piston, the Spaniard did not finish the match. He received a deserved red card following a dangerous tackle on André Gomes (90+5).
Once again preferred to Harit or Koné for the last quarter of an hour, the young Olympian did not have much to put into his mouth to have a positive impact on his team.
