The Miss France 2025 ceremony takes place this Saturday, December 14, at Futuroscope in Poitiers. A candidate almost did not participate following a sudden hospitalization…
The 30 contenders for the title of Miss France 2025 are in the home stretch. After a preparation trip to Ivory Coast in November and their installation at Futuroscope in Poitiers a few days ago, they are now preparing to experience the big election evening and go through all the emotions. The last few days have been crucial with, on the program, dance lessons, learning choreographies, preparation for the dreaded interview with the jury… Every moment will be used to perfect their performances.
However, just a few days ago, nothing was less certain for one of them. Cassiopée Rimbaud, 21, who wears Miss Roussillon's scarf, was indeed struck by “aggravated mononucleosis” a week before the start of the trip to Ivory Coast. The devastating illness led to her being urgently hospitalized. And his dream of representing France almost disappeared.
“My liver was affected so I was urgently hospitalized following this illness,” confided the young woman from Laroque-des-Albères, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, to Télé-Loisirs magazine. The diagnosis is alarming: too weakened according to the doctors, she will not be able to participate in the Miss France competition. His return to competition seemed more than uncertain, mononucleosis not being cured by treatment, because it was viral, and therefore only by a long rest.
A hard blow for those who had been preparing for many months for this deadline. But that was without counting on an express recovery from Miss Roussillon who was finally able to join her comrades after an unexpected green light from the doctors four days before departure.
“I can tell you that I am 100% confident and that I will give everything,” Cassiopée Rimbaud has since assured. The student assures that she will be 100% satisfied and intends to honor her region during the ceremony broadcast live this Saturday evening on TF1.
A 100% female jury, chaired this year by singer Sylvie Vartan, will have the difficult task of deciding between the candidates and electing the one who will represent France for a year. But a large part of the election has already been decided this week, since a first internal jury of the Miss France organization selected the 15 finalists who will be announced this evening on the stage of the Arena Futuroscope.
The jury will only intervene during the broadcast, to select the Top 5, then the public will be responsible for finally choosing the long-awaited winner. All under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Foucault, at the helm of the ceremony for the 30th consecutive year.
