Zulte Waregem won 1-2 on the fifteenth matchday in the Challenger Pro League on Saturday against Lommel SK.

Essevee took the lead after 36 minutes in the Sovereign Stadium thanks to a goal by Abdoulaye Traore after a beautiful pass from Stavros Gavriel, but had to accept Diego Rosa’s equalizer barely two minutes later. After the break, the home team had to continue with one man less after the Ghanaian Henry Owari was sent off and they paid for it with a second goal deep in injury time. Brazilian attacker Matheus Machado gave Zulte Waregem the three points.

With fourteen games in hand and 34 points, Essevee takes over the lead from La Louvière, which took the lead on Friday evening thanks to a 0-1 away win against Seraing. The Hainaut team has two points less than the competition leader. RWDM is third, with ten points less than Zulte Waregem. Lommel is in the middle of the table with nineteen points.
