It will remain heavily cloudy on Saturday. Initially, there is a chance of some dripping, especially in the west of the country, but during the day the weak disturbance will continue to spread across the country, the RMI reports.
Like the precipitation Saturday reaches the Ardennes in the afternoon, it falls in the form of winter precipitation. The maximum temperatures fluctuate between freezing point and 8 degrees. The RMI reports this.
In the evening the disturbance will hang over the east of the country, with rain in the low areas and snow on the Ardennes heights, and will move further into Germany. Clear skies appear in the west of the country around midnight. Later, low clouds appear again. South of Sambre and Meuse there is a chance of freezing fog. The minimum temperatures fluctuate between freezing and 6 degrees.
Slippery roads
The RMI warns that the roads may be slippery in the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg. This applies between Saturday 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 a.m code yellow. The weather service predicts snow in some places in the two provinces. A layer of 1 to 2 centimeters may form above 400 meters, possibly a little more on the High Fens.
Also Sunday it remains gray. South of Sambre and Meuse there is a chance of fog in the morning. Elsewhere, temporary clearing spells are possible, but it will still be mainly cloudy with a chance of some light rain or drizzle. It will be slightly softer with maximum temperatures between 3 and 10 degrees.
Monday there are still many low cloud fields. Apart from some light drizzle, especially south of Sambre and Meuse, it remains dry. It will be a bit milder with maximum temperatures between 6 to 7 degrees in the Ardennes and 10 to 12 degrees in Lower Belgium.
