Bad weather. Part of the RN88 is closed to heavy goods vehicles in Lozère

It was planned, the snow falls in abundance over a large part of the Lozere this Friday, December 13, 2024. And disrupts the circulation.

The prefecture has issued an order for articulated heavy goods vehicles assigned to the transport of goods on the RN88 from Langogne to the limit with Ardèche.

A ban which is valid until Saturday December 14 at 10 a.m.

Equipment required for everyone

The prefecture recalls that special snow driving equipment is mandatory since 1^is November throughout Lozère. The highest department in France has the particularity of implementing this rule in all of its municipalities unlike the departments of the Pyrenees, for example, where only part is concerned.

The snowy episode is expected to continue tonight. The department is on yellow snow-ice alert until Saturday morning. The rain-snow limit should vary between 800 m and 1000 m depending on the sector. Or the average altitude of the department.
