Invited in “En aside” this Monday, December 9, the 37-year-old woman spoke about the beginnings of her friendship with Marie Colin, an actress with a disability starring in Artus' film.
A little something extra marked the French box office this year, surpassing the 10 million admissions mark. Since November 15, the film has been broadcast on Canal+ and is available on the MyCanal platform. On the bill, we find Artus, who is also a director, but also a good number of actors with disabilities. It's from the plateau of“As an aside”this Monday, December 9 on Canal+, that Alice Belaïdi, who is part of the casting, spoke about the complexity of working with one of these actresses, Marie Colin.
It’s when presenter Nathalie Lévy talks about their first meeting that Alice Belaïdi reacts. “We're making pies, really. Marie couldn't sack me, she confides, laughing. “She didn’t want me there. I think she wanted to play me, she was jealous because I think she fell a little bit in love with Artus. I played a bit of her love interest in the film, so she couldn’t screw me.”

The actress then describes her colleague's behavior behind the scenes. “When I was on the combo – the little screen behind the camera – she put pies on it and said “Get out of there.” It was hard for me”assures Alice Belaïdi. “The first week, we laughed a little with the team, second week it started to be hard. It made me angry not to be able to have a connection with her. (…) And then on the set, it's complicated. I had to manage her, but she didn't want me to touch her, and I didn't want to force…”
She means a lot to me today.
Alice Belaïdi about Marie Colin.
The one who is also in the cast of season 3 d’Hippocrates, currently broadcast on Canal+ and on MyCanal, reveals what facilitated the relationship between her and Marie Colin: an exchange with her father, who suggested that she try acting with the actress, which put her on the right track. “I tell him “You’re funny, she’s putting pies in my face, it’s going to be complicated”»she tells him.
Happy coincidence: the next day, Marie Colin is holding a doll in her arms. Alice Belaïdi suggests to her colleague that they play “Mom and Dad”to which the other actress replies yes, on one condition. “I am the mother, Artus is the father and you are the baby”Marie Colin tells him. The actress decides to play the game: “And from there… Marie calls me five times a day, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening. She became my friend, I became her friend too, she's someone very important in my life. She means a lot to me today.”
