“My brother and my sister haven't seen the film yet and when they go to see it they will see their father, our father. Our father was much more kind and generous than Leonardo is in this film, but I use a lot of physical aspects of my father”he first explained. “He died at 101, he was surrounded by family”he added. Richard Gere then confided that he received the script a few months after his father's death. “I was still in the process of adjusting to this and trying to make sense of my father’s life and what he had gone through in his last years”he added.
