DECRYPTION – The new prime minister has been responsible since 2020 for planning the state's long-term strategy at the head of a high planning commission. Its effectiveness was recently highlighted by a Senate report.

This is the damning observation drawn up by the senator (RN) of Pas-de-Calais, Christopher Szczurek, in an information report submitted in September 2024 on the effectiveness of the HCP, the administration led by the new Prime Minister François Bayrou for the last four years.
