Most workers will receive a higher net salary in 2025. This is mainly because an extra tax bracket will be added next year, which means that many people will pay less tax than now. However, some part-timers are worse off.

Payslip processor ADP reports this after calculations. In the new first bracket, people pay a lower tax percentage on the first part of their income. Next year the tax will be 35.82 percent on the first 38,441 euros. Now people have to pay 36.97 percent tax on the first 75,518 euros.

Employees with an average gross salary of 3,588 euros per month will receive 56 euros more from January, ADP said. People who earn the minimum wage and work 36 hours a week will gain 41 euros. With 38 hours, a working person sees 53 euros more in his bank account and with forty hours 58 euros more. Next year, the minimum hourly wage will increase to 14.06 euros for workers aged 21 and over.

Part-timers and minimum wage workers

According to ADP, the tax measures are less favorable for people who earn between 1,000 and 2,000 euros gross per month, in most cases part-timers. This is mainly because the maximum general tax credit will be 294 euros less than now.

Workers who earn 1,000 euros per month see 22 euros less wages in their bank account. At 1,500 euros per month this is 31 euros less and at 2,000 euros 32 euros less.

In addition to part-timers, full-time employees earning the minimum wage will also suffer, says Dik van Leeuwerden, expert in legislation and regulations at ADP. According to him, these are minimum wage earners who earn around 2,000 euros gross per month, such as young people. According to him, with a salary of around 2,150 euros, workers will no longer lose out, that is the turning point.

Pension

According to ADP calculations, retirees will also improve next year. The lower tax rate also increases the supplementary pension. The lowest rate for state pension recipients drops from 19.07 percent to 17.92 percent. Their contribution to the Health Insurance Act will also decrease slightly.
