In the event of the appointment of François Bayrou as Prime Minister, La insoumise will file a motion of censure, LFI MP Aurélie Trouvé confirmed on Friday December 13 on franceinfo. The day before, the party coordinator, Manuel Bompard had already announced on franceinfo that it would be a “censure”.

“We will see who supports this new government or not,” warns the MP. “There is no question of supporting a Macronist government massively rejected by the French”adds Aurélie Trouvé.

“I would like Bayrou to be censored immediately,” also indicates the NFP deputy Benjamin Lucas, spokesperson for the Ecologist and Social deputies, to the franceinfo political service. “Level of spit in the face of voters, it’s even worse than Barnier”, continues the chosen one, “at least Barnier was not a Macronist”.

Socialists are less categorical. “We’re going to talk.”explains a leading socialist deputy contacted by the franceinfo political service. If the socialists do not mention censorship, their position can be summed up in “no support, no participation” to the future government with François Bayrou. On Thursday, the PS recalled that any member who would be tempted to join an executive not on the left will be excluded.

On the communist side, no clear position has yet been decided at the PCF, “we will judge by deeds”said an executive. Centrist François Bayrou spoke for 1 hour 45 minutes on Friday morning with Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée.
