Three days before the Pope's historic visit to Corsica, this is THE question that agitates Ajaccio, Thursday December 12: who is one of the 8,000 lucky people who will attend mass in public on Sunday? Gendarmes have arrived from Marseille and will be accommodated on a ferry. Pope Francis chose a Corsican airline to fly to Ajaccio from Rome, a unique trip for the crew. The cost of the Pope's visit to Corsica is estimated at 2 million euros by the bishopric, which has already collected almost half thanks to its donation campaign launched less than a month ago.
