The Loire, Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, Cantal and Ardèche were placed on snow-ice yellow vigilance by Météo France this Friday, December 13.
The winter cold has definitely settled in the region. This Friday, December 13, 11 days before Christmas Eve, five departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region were placed on snow-ice yellow vigilance. These are Loire, Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, Cantal and Ardèche.
While frosts are widespread this Friday morning and the thermometer will not exceed 3 degrees in Lyon today, in these departments concerned by this vigilance snow could fall locally.
This snow and ice vigilance will be valid all morning, until 10 a.m., then from 3 p.m. to midnight this Friday. Temperatures are expected to drop again at the end of the day.
The Rhône still on flood alert
Also note that the Rhône department is once again on yellow alert for a risk of flooding this Friday. The Saône is still at a very high level in Lyon.
