Roma manager Claudio Ranieri held a pre-match press conference on the eve of the Europa League clash with Sporting Braga.

“I have recovered everyone except Cristante,” said Ranieri when asked about the squad availability.

“Soulé? He is the future, I count on him a lot and Roma counts on him a lot.”

“I think he thought he would do the same things he did before at Frosinone but for him many things have changed since he arrived here. We will try to bring out the best of him.”

“We have to do well everywhere, we have to try to give our best in every match and competition. This is how team spirit is created.”

“Dovbyk must get back a good physical condition. Then we must understand how he should be served. The first thing is for him to be back at 100%, otherwise it won’t work. With everyone’s self-esteem higher, he will also benefit.”

“Pellegrini’s future? I don’t know what he intends to do. We haven’t spoken about his contract. He’s a boy who deserves the best and I see him more relaxed during training now.”

“He’s starting to take more shots on goal and to find his self-esteem and his caliber again.”

“Dybala? I’ll need to speak to him because I think his presence is just as important on the weekend in Como.”

“Right now I am committing myself half as a coach and half as an executive. The next coach is not the priority, but we are thinking about it.”

“Will it be a young, Italian coach? What I can say is that we’re looking for a good, long-term coach. He must be good. We don’t want to make mistakes.”

“I have wonderful players who give me peace of mind to think about the future. With the owners and Ghisolfi we are thinking about everything, about today and the future.”

“I think over the last few weeks I gave the team my way of being. I look for empathy and when the players understand my needs, I get along with everyone.”

“They were trained well by previous coaches and they are now good at understanding what they have to do.”
