What will be the disruptions on Thursday in transport in Île-de-France? Due to a railway workers' strike, “train and RER traffic will be disrupted on some of the lines operated by Transilien SNCF Voyageurs for Île-de-France Mobilités”, SNCF Voyageurs announced on Tuesday. The railway company gave more detailed forecasts late Wednesday afternoon.
On the RER lines, traffic will be “normal” for lines A, B and E. On the RER C, however, it will be necessary to plan for “two trains out of three”. It is on the RER D that traffic should be the most disrupted, with “one train in three on average”, warns the SNCF.
In detail, it will be necessary to plan “two trains out of five” on the Corbeil-Essonnes/Creil and Goussainville/Melun axes, and “one train out of three only during morning and evening rush hours”, on the Corbeil- Essonnes/Malesherbes. However, trains will not run on the Corbeil-Essonnes/Juvisy via Ris-Orangis and Corbeil-Essonnes/Melun via Saint-Fargeau routes.
On the Transiliens side, traffic will be “normal” on lines J, K, L, P and U. It should nevertheless be more disrupted on line N, with “three trains out of four”, on line V, with “ two trains out of three”, and on line H with “one train out of two”, but normal service on the Pontoise/Creil axis. Finally, “one train in five” is planned on line R with “no traffic on the Melun/Montereau axis via Héricy”, indicates the SNCF.
There should be no disruptions on the tram lines, announced the railway company, which advises to limit, for those who can, their trips on Thursday and to consult the Île-de-France Mobilités, SNCF Connect or the transilien.fr website to find out about disruptions in real time.
Concerning the rest of the country, traffic is announced as “normal” on the TGV Inoui and Ouigo network. Slight disruptions for regional trains are still to be expected, “with a national average of eight trains out of ten”, the railway group indicated on Tuesday. At SNCF, only the CGT-Cheminots and SUD-Rail unions are calling for a strike against the dismantling of Freight, while Unsa-Ferroviaire and CFDT-Cheminots have given up on it.
