NOW YOUR WLKY WEATHER WITH CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JAY CARDOSI. OKAY. OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW ALL IS QUIET. WE HAVE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, BUT BOY, IT’S GETTING COLDER. THOSE TEMPERATURES ARE DROPPING LIKE A ROCK. WE’RE DOWN TO 36 NOW. WE TOPPED OUT AT 53, BUT ONCE THAT COLD FRONT MOVED THROUGH, THOSE WINDS KICKED IN FROM THE WEST NORTHWEST. BOY, THAT TEMPERATURE REALLY STARTED TO DROP OFF EARLIER TODAY. 5/100 OF AN INCH OF RAIN. IT WASN’T MUCH AT THIS TIME. MOSTLY CLOUDY, 36 HUMIDITY 73%. A NORTH NORTHWEST BREEZE, ALMOST 20. THE FEEL LIKE DOWN TO 25. SO THAT WINTER CHILL IT HAS RETURNED. STILL HOLDING ON TO LOW 40S IN OUR EASTERN COMMUNITIES. OTHERWISE IT’S LOW AND MID 30S ELSEWHERE, AND THESE NUMBERS SLOWLY DROPPING THE REST OF THE NIGHT. THAT TREND WILL CERTAINLY CONTINUE. RADAR IS LOOKING JUST FINE AROUND THE METRO, SURROUNDING REGIONS UP. WHAT’S THAT? WE HAVE A FEW ECHOS OUT THERE IN SOUTHWESTERN INDIANA, WESTERN KENTUCKY. A LOT OF THAT IS NOT REACHING THE GROUND, BUT IT IS SOME ENERGY THAT IS MOVING ITS WAY STEADILY OFF TO THE EAST. AND A LITTLE BIT LATER ON TONIGHT, AS IT GETS A LITTLE BIT BETTER ORGANIZED, A COUPLE OF FLURRIES, MAYBE A BRIEF POCKET OF PATCHY LIGHT SNOW COULD BE MOVING THROUGH AROUND THREE FOUR, 5:00 IN THE MORNING. IT WON’T AMOUNT TO MUCH AT ALL, BUT THERE COULD BE A FEW FLAKES IN THE AIR. IT’S GONE BY DAYBREAK. MATTER OF FACT, THE SUNSHINE WILL BE RETURNING FOR A FEW HOURS TOMORROW MORNING, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE CHILLY. REMEMBER THAT, BOY, THOSE TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 30S AND WIND CHILLS WILL BE IN THE 20S. LOTS OF CLOUDS STREAMING ACROSS THE REGION. THE COLD FRONT, OF COURSE, IS THROUGH. BEHIND IT. THE NORTHWESTERLY BREEZES. HERE COME THE 30S. HERE COME THE 20S, AND THIS COLD AIR IS GOING TO WIN OUT FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE WE TURN THINGS AROUND AND MODERATE AGAIN, JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND. OKAY, THIS IS THE LITTLE BATCH OF ENERGY I’M WATCHING FOR TONIGHT AFTER MIDNIGHT. AS THAT ROTATES THROUGH AGAIN, A COUPLE OF FLURRIES, A PATCH OR TWO OF LIGHT SNOW, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT’S RIGHT THROUGH THE METRO AND SURROUNDING AREAS. AROUND 4 A.M. AND THEN IT QUICKLY PUSHES OFF TO THE EAST OUT OF THE VIEWING AREA BY SUNUP. MATTER OF FACT, WE’LL HAVE SOME SUNSHINE TOMORROW MORNING. IT’S GOING TO BE CHILLY SUNSHINE, BUT WE’LL SEE SOME SUNSHINE FROM TIME TO TIME. THEN THE CLOUDS MOVE BACK IN AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOME SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WILL TRY TO FORM. YOU KNOW THE TYPE OF SNOW SHOWERS WHERE ONE MOVES THROUGH. VISIBILITY IS CUT FOR A SHORT TIME, ONLY TO SEE MAYBE A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE ON THE BACK EDGE OF IT. THAT’S WHAT WE’RE EXPECTING HERE LATE TOMORROW, AND THEY COULD CONTINUE FOR A TIME TOMORROW, EARLY EVENING AS WELL. NOT EXPECTING MUCH, MAYBE A LIGHT DUSTING ON GRASSY AREAS IN A FEW SPOTS, BUT THAT SHOULD BE JUST ABOUT IT. OTHERWISE YOUR TEMPERATURES TOMORROW ANYWHERE FROM 35 TO 40 FOR THOSE AFTERNOON HIGHS. HERE’S THE FORECAST. OVERNIGHT, COLDER FLURRIES OR A PATCH OR TWO OF LIGHT SNOW LATER ON. 33 ON THAT LOW. WE’LL HAVE SOME SUNSHINE AROUND FIRST PART OF THE DAY TOMORROW, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE CHILLY. WE’LL CLIMB TO 40 AND THEN THOSE SCATTERED LATE AFTERNOON EARLY EVENING SNOW SHOWERS, A POSSIBILITY. QUIET AND COLD. THURSDAY. WE’RE IN THE UPPER 30S. LOWS AT NIGHT IN THE 20S. LOW 20S. THURSDAY MORNING, VICKY. THEN WE COME OUT OF IT. FRIDAY, A NICE DAY. TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 50S. HERE COMES THE RAIN. SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. WE’LL CONTINUE SATURDAY NIGHT. WRAP UP SUNDAY MORNING AND WE’LL GET ANOTHER CHANCE IN HERE NEXT MONDAY NIGHT. SO WE CAN. NOT LOOKING THE BEST, BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO BE COLD. IT WILL BE IN THE 50S, BUT WE’LL BE DEALING WITH T
