Getafe (Madrid), Dec 9 (EFE).- David Soria, Getafe goalkeeper, highlighted this Monday that his team’s victory over Espanyol “is very important in all aspects” to gain momentum and get points with which to get closer little by little to salvation.
The blue team beat its rival 1-0 thanks to a goal from Álvaro Rodríguez after eight minutes that helped Getafe gain three points and occupy fifteenth place, three ahead of Espanyol, the last team that would lose the category. Soria, speaking to Movistar Plus, was satisfied with the result.
“We have achieved a very important victory in all aspects. On a moral level, winning again, and then we have become strong with our people. Salvation is with them. Now Atlético, which is another three points,” he said.
“Today we started strong, ahead on the scoreboard. That is very important because defensively we are quite good this year. In the second half we fell back a couple, but we kept a clean sheet, which is fundamental,” he added.
Finally, he spoke about the youth squad Coba da Costa, who had a good game in his debut as a starter in the League: “Here, everyone who comes is welcome. He is a kid with a lot of self-confidence, with good one-on-one skills and anyone who comes to help, welcome.” EFE
