LThe agricultural unions, FDSEA and JA of Pyrénées-Atlantiques carried out this Monday, December 9, 2024 a filtering dam at the roundabout of Grand Basque in . They want to be heard by the government on their increasingly complicated situation.

Members of the FDSEA and Young Farmers of the Pyrenees-Atlantique met at the Grand Basque roundabout in Bayonne to create a filter barrier and distribute leaflets to motorists.

Betrayal following the motion of censure

The FDSEA and the JA regret the motion of censure voted by three deputies of the department. The agricultural unions believe they have been “betrayed” by the deputies of the 4th, 5th and 6th constituencies of the department. A few days before the vote, they sent them a letter explaining, “the disastrous consequences that the adoption of this motion would have on the texts committed to our agriculture”.

The agricultural unions therefore announced that “ mobilization actions are being organized to continue to put pressure on the state” and finally “ work and move forward so that farmers tomorrow will still be present on our territory.
