Two out of four unions are renouncing the renewable movement planned for Wednesday

This Friday, on These two unions in fact signed, on Thursday, “the FRET and subsidiary agreements” concerning the transfer of certain Freight employees to the Hexafret and Technis subsidiaries.

According to UNSA-Ferroviaire, this agreement “guarantees that all railway workers concerned will benefit from the same collective agreements as those in force within the SNCF group”. A guarantee which, however, is only valid for thirty-six months.

“Working time” and “job security”

For its part, the CFDT-Cheminots, also a signatory of the agreements, ensures that the working hours of the transferred railway workers will be maintained “for twenty-four months”. The union also highlights “job security” for statutory and contractual agents who will join these two subsidiaries.

The two union organizations also validated a social agreement concerning railway workers transferred to TER subsidiaries, where the market is open to competition according to the AFP.

On the contrary, the CGT-Cheminots and Sud-Rail, which did not sign the agreements, maintain their call for a renewable strike from Wednesday. If Sud Rail welcomes the “social moratorium obtained at Fret SNCF for three years”, the union, like the CGT-Cheminots, also wants a moratorium on the dismantling of Fret SNCF.
