She was elected Miss France 2025. At 34 years old, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique 2024, succeeded Eve Gilles during a ceremony organized in Poitiers on Saturday December 14, 2024.
On the occasion of her election, the young woman spoke with our colleagues from Parisian. And she doesn't hesitate to reveal the remark she no longer wants to hear.
Indeed, in her speech, she wanted to send a very strong message to all women “who was told it’s too late”. Our colleagues then wanted to know if she too had already been the recipient of this type of comment: “Of course. It's too late, you're starting to turn 34… In the long run, it can be a bit heavy on the mind, while perhaps it's not the goal for people to hurt us, but it resonates with us and it’s not necessarily a very positive echo”, she indicates.
This sentence that annoys Angélique Angarni-Filopon
And what's more, Angélique Angarni-Filopon heard this sentence “the day before or two days before his speech”. “At the beginning, I just said my pride in representing Martinique, the diaspora, as well as all women, and something was missing. That, I added. Almost by chance”she reveals frankly.
And Miss France 2025 above all wants to allow all women to realize their dreams: “Thinking of all these women of which I am one, who are afraid of being categorized because they are over 35 or getting there, and they are told that it is too late to have a child, to change careers, to move”.
Miss France 2025 has changed the way she looks at her body
And thanks to her preparation for the Miss France election,
Angélique Angarni-Filopon indicates that she has changed her outlook on herself. “Yes, my habits were completely disrupted during the preparation for Miss France. I learned to see myself differently and I told myself that in any case, even if I didn't win, I wanted to completely change my wardrobe, make it more feminine, more assertive, maybe a a little less young, more of my age, a well-accomplished woman and proud of herself”she says, very proud of the woman she has become.
The opportunity for the beauty queen to confide about her look. “I wear less makeup too, oddly enough. Before I wanted the totality with the make-up so that people could see my true beauty when in fact, it is there, anyway”.
