At the end of the draw for the 2025 Club World Cup which took place on Thursday in Miami, PSG inherited an affordable group for the group stage. The rest, in the event of qualification, promises to be more difficult and spicy with a possible reunion with Lionel Messi from the round of 16.
PSG is fixed. The only French club competing in the Club World Cup next summer in the United States (July 15 – August 13), the Parisian club will face Antoine Griezmann's Atlético de Madrid for its entry into the competition. Heavy work ahead of two more affordable opponents: the Brazilian club Botafogo, recent winner of the Copa Libertadores and owned by Jonh Textor, and the Americans Seattle Sounders who will have the advantage of playing at home. Finishing in one of the first two places, synonymous with qualification for the round of 16, is however within the ropes of Luis Enrique's team.

Messi in the eighth, Cavani in the quarters and Mbappé in the semis?
For the 8th, and the start of the final matches, PSG, if it qualifies, will cross with group A, that of Inter Miami where a certain Lionel Messi plays. A reunion between Paris and the Argentinian is entirely possible. If the Parisians finish first, they will face the 2nd in group A, a group made up of Palmeiras, FC Porto, the Egyptians Al Ahly and therefore Messi's Inter Miami.
If PSG emerges victorious in their round of 16, their affairs will get tougher in the quarter-finals. PSG will then meet teams from groups C and D. The Parisians could therefore come up against Bayern Munich who beat them in the Champions League ten days ago or Chelsea. Paris could also cross paths with one of its legends, Edinson Cavani, the center forward of Boca Juniors, present in group C with Bayern, Auckland City, and Benfica. For a potential reunion with Kylian Mbappé, a PSG-Real Madrid will not be possible before the semi-finals.
