“There is always pressure. I would rather call it ambition, because everyone wants to push ahead. We want to get into the swing of things for the next round,” Jonas De Roeck told Gazet van Antwerpen.
Whether KV Kortrijk will rotate remains to be seen, but there are certainly some changes at The Great Old. This is how goalkeeper Jean Butez will get his place in the team.
“Some players need some match rhythm. We did not impose that on him, because everything happened in consultation. Jean has experience and knows what he needs. He had a positive experience in those matches and even scored,” De Roeck winked.
De Roeck does not want to make any other changes. He does say that fatigue may play a role, because there was only a match two days ago. “Some substitutions can always happen in a cup match,” was the only response.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha is not there. “He is still experiencing some discomfort from his wound and remains on the sidelines as a precaution. He may be in the selection this weekend.” According to De Roeck, Toby Alderweireld is ready for two matches in a week.
