The former Prime Minister defends his successor before the vote on the motions of censure tabled by the NFP and the RN, which could bring down the government of Michel Barnier.
“The community of hatred almost always forms the basis of friendships.” Gabriel Attal, president of the “Together for the Republic” group in the National Assembly, denounced “the alliance between LFI and the RN which is being formed”before the vote on the two motions of censure targeting the government of Michel Barnier, Wednesday December 4.
“It is neither on the extreme left nor the extreme right that the French will be able to find the antidote”believes the former Prime Minister, who defends his successor after the speeches of most of the other group presidents. “His project is clear: act and move forward”judge Gabriel Attal, whose parliamentary group will not vote on the motions of censure from the left and the RN.
Gabriel Attal notably targeted the RN deputies, whom he accused of “sickness at home and bad for the French” : “You make a mistake in the face of history, but you can't help it. It's stronger than you, it's your nature.” He also targeted “the Alliance of the Left led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon [qui] nHe pursues only one project: to trample everything, ruin everything and tax everything. (…) And then there are those, I deeply believe, for whom there is still time to pull themselves together.”he tells the socialists.
Gabriel Attal believes that censorship, demanded by the left-wing parties of the New Popular Front and by the National Rally, “would only make losers”. “The time has come to put aside what divides us”estimates the former Prime Minister, for whom “the time has come for all of our country’s deputies to rise to the occasion and live up to their responsibilities”.
The decisive vote is expected in the early evening. The text tabled by the left-wing groups, which will be voted on first after the speeches of the leaders of political groups, should be voted on by the RN, and therefore adopted by the absolute majority of deputies, barring any dramatic events.
