Since July 2024, an investigating judge has been investigating accusations against the social network X for complicity in aggravated moral harassment. This comes after a complaint filed by the former influencer magali Berdah, the Paris prosecutor's office said this Wednesday, December 4.
This Wednesday, December 4, the Paris prosecutor's office told AFP that an investigating judge has been investigating, for 5 months now, accusations against the social network X for complicity in aggravated moral harassment. This case is in fact linked to the cyberharassment suffered by Magali Berdah since the start of her conflict with the rapper Booba in May 2022.
It is also the former influencer popess who filed a complaint against the social network, accusing it of having knowingly continued to give the artist access to its services, which, according to her, made him allowed her to be “harassed”, we learned from a source close to the matter.
As a reminder, in this case, Booba was indicted on October 2, 2023. He is prohibited from “meeting or coming into contact in any way whatsoever” with Magali Berdah, which includes “tagging” her on social networks.
However, the rapper would “without a doubt” have violated this judicial control since he posted twice against Magali Berdah at the end of October 2023. During his interrogation, Booba justified himself: “At the very beginning I “I tweeted, I got a little lost,” he said.
Booba called to order
“I said to myself ‘ok I shouldn’t communicate’”, but “Magali Berdah has a YouTube series where she only talks about me. At first I reacted, but then I stopped,” he said.
The rapper was then called to order after his failure to comply with his judicial review and the investigating judge had threatened to use “other levers” to “ensure the peace” of the businesswoman , for example, by limiting his “freedom of movement”.
Asked by the judge about his “intention to abstain”, the rapper assured that “yes”. “I will relay court decisions or information, if I am entitled to do so, but I will not tag, edit or make fun of it.”
