Several relatives of this 13-year-old girl told BFMTV of harassment which could have caused her great discomfort. Dozens of soldiers are still mobilized in Côtes-d'Armor to participate in the research.

Morgane is still wanted this Tuesday morning, eight days after her disappearance. During a press conference held on Monday, December 2, Nicolas Heitz, prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, declared that “all avenues are being considered” in this case.

This 13-year-old schoolgirl was last seen at 7:45 a.m. on Monday November 25 leaving her family home in Pabu (Côtes-d'Armor) to go to her school. No lead is favored “at this stage”, he added, announcing the opening of a judicial investigation to “search for the causes of the disappearance.”

“She was bullied at school”

Although described as “a happy and joyful child”, having never run away or reported suicidal intentions by those close to her, the teenager could also have been the victim of harassment in recent months, which could have provoked her strong discomfort.

“She was harassed at school. She said she was called a whore and everything. Sometimes she stayed in her corner for a whole day… She mutilated herself. Sometimes it was her whole arm,” says one of her comrades, wishing to remain anonymous, to BFMTV.

Some of Morgane's classmates heard by investigators reported “disturbing comments” from the young girl, who “could be experiencing real discomfort.” They even mentioned “scarifications that she would have inflicted on herself”, confirmed the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor.

Very present on social networks

Morgane also seemed to make excessive use of her phone and social networks and she had confided to a tennis coach as well as a teacher “that she may have been the victim of harassment last year”, added Nicolas Heitz.

The teenager had also argued with her parents the weekend before her disappearance about her use of social networks, and her father had broken her phone and confiscated her SIM card. On social networks, the schoolgirl entered into “relationships with older individuals.”

“These people were all interviewed and their homes were searched” but “none of these hearings made it possible to provide relevant information on the location of the teenager,” underlined Nicolas Heitz.

A 21-year-old man, resident in Drôme, was notably identified as having created a Snapchat account for Morgane. Several images of a child pornography nature not concerning Morgane were discovered there and the man was placed in police custody for these facts, by the competent public prosecutor's office, said the magistrate. “This has no impact on our procedure,” assured the prosecutor to BFMTV.

“I love you my daughter”

Tuesday, December 3, the search, mobilizing several dozen gendarmes in Pabu, but also in Guingamp, continued. As BFMTV learned, an average of thirty soldiers from the Guingamp company, but also from the departmental road safety squadron and reservists are mobilized. They are supported by a drone.

A crumpled piece of paper was also found by the gendarmes in Morgane's basket “where it was indicated 'dad, mom, sorry, I'm leaving.'”

At the same time as this research, several of her relatives expressed their concern and asked the teenager for any sign of life. “Morgan, I hope you hear that, because everyone really misses you. I hope you come back,” her ex-boyfriend told BFMTV.

“My daughter, (…) 8 days since we have had any news or sign from you. Come back to us, give us a sign, dad and I will come and get you wherever you are. We miss your brother, your sister, and all the rest of the family and friends around us, I love you my daughter,” her mother wrote on social networks.

According to several of her friends, the young girl had “posted a story, since deleted, over the weekend to say that she would not come to class on Monday.” Morgane has not connected to social networks since her disappearance, notes the magistrate.
