Lamine Yamal, named MVP in his team’s victory against Borussia Dortmund (2-3) at the Signal Iduna Park, explicitly explained his issues with passing the doping control.
“I was about to pee… and for once I needed to go, they wouldn’t let me do the doping control,” said the Barcelona forward casually, who had been waiting for a while at Signal Iduna, in front of Movistar’s cameras.
“We learned to suffer and we took lessons from the Betis match”
The 17-year-old player also analyzed the Champions League match in Dortmund. He stated that “in these grounds it’s important to know how to withstand” and then “capitalize when you have the chance to score.”
Lamine explained that in the first half, Barcelona “had plenty of possession and clear chances,” but admitted Dortmund dominated more in the second half, “especially when they equalized against us.”

However, he highlighted the team’s mental strength: “We learned to suffer and we took lessons from the Betis match,” commented the Barcelona forward, recalling that in the Benito Villamarín they should not have allowed the equalizer in stoppage time.
Yamal, who said he was “very happy for Ferran’s two goals,” again provided a clever pass with the outside of his left foot to Raphinha, who this time crossed the ball too much in his effort to score.
“That pass comes naturally to me, you know… It’s a resource that’s been working well for me lately, to be honest. It comes to me naturally; it’s not something I’m constantly doing in training, it just sort of happens. And I told Raphinha that he had it…” commented the Spanish international.
