Chosen as the only candidate to host the 2030 World Cup, the “YallaVamos!” project, which includes Morocco, Spain and Portugal, has received approval from FIFA’s technical teams. In the final evaluation report published by the international federation, the tripartite candidacy obtained 4.2 out of 5, exceeding the minimum required standards. According to the same source, “the joint candidacy of Spain, Morocco and Portugal seeks to unite the passion for that the people of these three nations share.”

However, a World Cup is not just about symbols, although the 2030 edition celebrates the centenary of the global tournament and is loaded with symbolism. Regarding the commercial aspects, “the bid presents a very solid foundation, supported by clear forecasts on all the main sources of income (broadcasts, sponsorship, match day income, etc.),” ​​indicates the 180-page document.

The report reviews all aspects related to the organization, starting with the necessary sports infrastructure. FIFA notes that “several projects are already underway (notably in Morocco, where several stadiums are expected to be delivered for the 2025 African Cup of Nations), the quality and comprehensiveness of the proposed plans, and the commitment around these projects “They demonstrate a high level of trust.”

In parallel, the international federation has also published an evaluation of the “centennial celebration”, which includes the organization of three matches in Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Asunción (Paraguay). The candidacy of the three South American neighbors received a score of 3.6 out of 5.

FIFA has therefore decided to present the candidacy to the FIFA Council, which will put it to a vote among all member associations on December 11.
