From December 5 to 7 for the Festival of Lights, then from December 26 to 31 for the end-of-year celebrations, the Festival Région des Lumières will shine its spotlight on this emblematic monument.
Projected free of charge, outdoors, thanks to the support of the Fourvière Foundation, this intergenerational show will allow everyone, Lyonnais, local residents or visitors, to come together for a moment of wonder.
The show, designed by the Allumeurs de Rêves, reveals and magnifies the basilica and its chapel, in dialogue with the history of the site.
This creation, rich in 3D animations, is accompanied by a soundtrack highlighting vocal music, from opera to vocal jazz, from traditional tunes to sacred works, from Verdi and Puccini to contemporary composers, from the overtone voice to international choirs, but also a vocal ensemble from Lyon… in an ode to the feminine.
To ensure that this popular event is accessible to all, the Region offers dedicated reception for people with disabilities, by deploying a reception and mediation system (disabled reception, simple audio description and FALC, reserved viewpoint area, PMR path, etc.).
