Scotland’s Coefficient projects that this will be enough to secure Rangers an unseeded spot in the play-off round.

Rangers have three remaining league phase fixtures in the 2024/25 competition, though, so an automatic spot in the last-16 isn’t yet out of the question.

They’ll welcome Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs at Ibrox next time out, before travelling down south to face Manchester United in January and finally taking on Union Saint-Gilloise that month too.

It’s said that 14 to 15 points will be needed to seal a top-eight finish in the league phase, while 11 to 12 points will see Rangers seeded for the play-off.

So, Rangers are just a couple of points off being in a very good position to progress in the tournament beyond the league-phase at this point.
