Real Sociedad has had a mediocre start to the Europa League campaign. The Basques are in 25th place after four matches played and are therefore not currently in the top 24. A place with those clubs is necessary to reach the next round of the tournament. So far, Real Sociedad has only won one game in the Europa League and so it is time for a turnaround for the club from San Sebastián.
Ajax, on the other hand, is in excellent shape in the Europa League. Francesco Farioli’s team has so far won against Besiktas (4-0), Qarabag FK (0-3) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (5-0). The Amsterdam team only lost points in the second game. In Prague, ten Ajax players scored a point against Slavia Prague. Ajax will want to continue its unbeaten European series on Thursday evening with a victory against Real Sociedad.
