Caution ! Advent calendars with sausage are unfit for consumption, according to two recall sheets from the government site Rappel Conso. The calendars were recalled on Wednesday November 27 for proven listeria contamination.

The sausages contained in the calendars are products of the brands L&O, Ici Present, Fédération Française de l'Apéritif and Provencia and were marketed between October 7, 2024 and November 22, 2024.

Several points of sale concerned

More precisely, these are the GTIN lots 3042066000041, 3770035022045, 3770012531546 and 3042066000010, whose recommended consumption date ends on December 31, 2024.

They were sold in numerous physical and virtual points of sale: gifts.com, Ici Present, Amazon, Nature et Découverte, Leclerc, Auchan, Système U, Intermarché, Carrefour and La Grande Épicerie de , as well as local shops.

“The incubation period can be up to eight weeks”

In its sheet, the Rappel Conso site recommends that “people who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their treating doctor in reporting this consumption to him.”

“Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks,” warns the site.
