Clashes between supporters of Bologna and Lille took place overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Italian city on the sidelines of the Champions League match between the two teams. Several injuries were reported among northern fans after this attack.
Lille can take a big step towards qualifying for the final phase of the Champions League if they perform well on Wednesday against Bologna. Faced with Italians looking for a first success in the competition, Bruno Genesio's Mastiffs will probably have to fight hard. And the fight already seems to have started between the supporters of the two teams.

RMC Sport is able to confirm the existence of several injuries among northern fans after incidents with local hooligans that occurred during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in Bologna.
Arriving on site on the eve of the match, Losc supporters said they were the victims of a full-blown attack. Similar incidents had broken out on the sidelines of Monaco's reception in the Italian city before the success of ASM (1-0) on November 5.
Lille residents attacked in a bar
Before this clash between Bologna and Lille, a clash broke out in a bar in the transalpine city according to information relayed by the local press. Thus, around thirty Mastiff supporters were allegedly attacked in the Cluricaune Irish pub by nearly 80 hooligans claiming to be fans of the Italian club. The attackers were also allegedly armed with belts and iron bars at the time of this attack on northern supporters.
After projectiles were thrown inside the establishment, the fight continued in the street until the intervention of the police to separate the two clans. Still according to regional media including Il Resto del Carlino, several Lille fans were even treated in a hospital in Bologna for part of the night.
