The precise gain won this Tuesday is 212,448,937 euros, indicated Karine Ferri, who presents the Euromillions drawing every Tuesday and Friday. This is the 6th largest amount won in this game of chance since its creation in the 2000s.
From 17 to 212 million euros
Fifteen other players, including five French players, also won prizes by finding part of the correct combination. These “rank 2 winners” thus received more than 73,000 euros. A French person living in Ile-de-France also won a million euros thanks to the MyMillion code.
The starting prize pool for the Euromillions is 17 million euros. With each draw without a winner, it increases to sometimes crazy amounts. That said, unlike the United States where there is no limit, the European gambling jackpot cannot legally exceed 250 million euros, recalls the HuffPost.
