There is no wear and tear on Robert Lewandowski. The Polish sniper has scored his 100th and 101st Champions League goals of his career against Stade Brest. With that milestone, the 36-year-old Lewandowski paved the way for Barça’s victory against revelation Brest.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s 140 goals and Lionel Messi’s 129 goals in the Champions League seem a bridge too far, but Robert Lewandowski has stepped onto the podium with his 100th rose.
Brest was the victim: Lewandowski converted an eleven-meter shot after 10 minutes after goalkeeper Marco Bizot had sold a very stupid beech to the Pole.
Barcelona ultimately handed Brest a first defeat in this League Phase, but the spotlight was mainly focused on Lewandowski.
In 2011 he opened his CL account in the shirt of Borussia Dortmund. After 17 goals for Dortmund, he added 69 in the colors of Bayern Munich.
At Barcelona, the goal machine has now passed the milestone of 100 goals. And in the extra time he even increased his counter to 101.
