The first half of the fifth matchday of the 2024/25 Champions League ended with several surprise results and real shocks in the standings. In the key Barçathe Blaugrana team took a brutal step forward with their resounding victory against Brest (3-0), which allows Hansi Flick‘s team to climb to second position in the standings.
The top of the table has Inter Milan as the only leader with 13 points. Manchester City (15) are next, who surprisingly drew 3-3 against Feyenoord (20), Juventus (16), Lille (17), Celtic (18) and Dinamo Zagreb (19) with their pending matches to be played. The play-offs are closed by Real Madrid (21), who will visit Anfield Road this Wednesday, Benfica (22), Club Brugge (23) and PSV (24).
