In the Champions League, Bayern Munich against Paris St-Germain is almost something of a classic. The two clubs will meet for the 14th time on Tuesday in Munich. The current highlight – at least from the perspective of the German record champions: the 2020 final, which Bayern won 1-0.
The current reality is different. In order not to lose sight of the knockout phase, a win is mandatory for both in the direct duel. Bayern are currently ranked 17th with 6 points, PSG would even miss the playoffs for the knockout phase as 25th with 4 points.
Bayern before the hammer week
In the domestic championship, things are going well for the Germans and the French. Bayern dominate the Bundesliga, PSG dominate Ligue 1. Both are leaders with a 6-point lead, and both have never lost with 9 and 10 wins respectively (2 draws each).
