The two chains are joining forces to launch a joint burger which will be offered in their restaurants from November 27 to December 16.
The two brands do not hesitate to present it as “the collaboration of the century”. In a press release published this Tuesday. Burger King and KFC announce the launch of a joint burger: the BFF burger (Best Friends Forever).
This new burger will be marketed from November 27 to December 16 in all French restaurants of the two chains which promise during this period to become “the best friends in the world by putting their rivalry aside”.
In reality, the two brands will not offer quite the same product since the BFF Burger composed of salad, tomato, double portion of onions (fried and onion rings) and a “specially designed white BBQ sauce” will be sold with flame-grilled meat at Burger King and with chicken at KFC.
Regarding the price, it will be set by the franchisees but the menu will be less than 10 euros whatever happens, the two brands assure BFM Business.
A communications operation
For several days, some Burger King customers had noted with surprise that their restaurant was using cups, placemats in the image of KFC, and vice versa. A way to announce this collaboration ahead of time.
An advertising campaign featuring the music “Why can't we be friends?” on social networks and on television will also highlight this new friendship… of a few weeks.
