Sunday November 24, 2024, Laurent Delahousse received a comedian much appreciated by the French : Jamel Debbouze. Back with his Comedy Club, the man who will travel the roads of France from January to March 2025 for a Zénith Tour came to talk about the new generation of comedians, but also about his private life.
Laurent Delahousse: “We have to be a little connected”
At the start of the interview, Jamel Debbouze mentioned the video featuring him with the Olympic flame at the Stade de France, where he then handed the torch to footballer Zinédine Zidane. “It was an extraordinary moment. Even I was surprised. And then, having the chance to be in front of 'Zizou Christ'”he exclaimed. Fan of the football star, this one slipped: “I have an inordinate affection for Zinédine Zidane. I almost called my daughter 'Zizou'. It's thanks to my wife that I downgraded”before ensuring that the footballer was unanimous.

Proud of the talents of his Comedy Club, the comedian continued by declaring upon seeing images of his little protégés: “They are stronger than us when we started our profession. They are more complete, uninhibited. They have acquired the experience of comedians who came before them: Florence Foresti, Gad Elmaleh, and so on and so on, the best.”.
“They have integrated a bit of the whole professionthey even arrive with a social media audience today”he confided. While the audience is very close to the stage and is lit, the comedian added: “If you managed to make this room laugh, there’s a chance you’ll make rooms all over France laugh”.
