Jill Green is a yet-to-be-identified personality whose death has sparked an online search following her appearance during the in-memoriam section of the season 3 finale of the TV show ‘From’.
Users were stunned at the series finale itself which was chilling and mysterious – and then after that, were presented with another mystery by the show’s producers with their dedication.
“This season is dedicated in loving memory to Jill Green”, it read.
So far, social media sleuths have identified two possible answers to this question and we provide them below.
Who was Jill Green?
Jill Green according to online searches is the wife of English novelist Anthony Horowitz. Green is a film producer who has worked on numerous including some television adaptations of Horowitz’s works.
Jill ran Greenlit Productions for 12 years and worked on numerous productions including 29 feature length films of Foyle’s War, the award winning Collision, and the feature film The American starring George Clooney.
She founded Eleventh hour Films in 2010 and was its CEO for 14 years until July 24, when the company sold a majority share to Sony Pictures Television. She now works as Board Chairperson and Strategic Advisor and the leading Executive Producer on all Anthony Horowitz dramas.
Eleventh Hour Films’ portfolio includes New Blood, Vexed, Safe House, and three seasons of the widely popular spy series Alex Rider for Amazon/Freevee and Sony. She was also EP on Magpie Murders, which launched in the US on Masterpiece in October 2022 to rave reviews and is now showing on BBC1 and iPlayer. She is currently Executive Producer on Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, an original thriller from Anthony Horowitz which Eleventh Hour is producing for MGM+ and BBC.

MGM+, which Jill Green partnered with for Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, is also the studio that produces ‘From’. That establishes a link between her and the From television show but there is no information available online indicating that she has died and the ‘loving memory’ part of the dedication indicates the person is dead. Nevertheless, Jill Green the British Producer is the person most online forums and users believe to be the Jill Green in the dedication.
Another Jill with an unconfirmed last name that social media users identified as the possible Jill Green is the late sister of famed director, Jack Bender. Bender, known for his work on Lost, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones, is currently working on From. And in March, Bender announced to the world that he had lost his sister, whose last (possibly married) name was not available.
“My dear big sister Jill who I will miss everyday. Love your brother, Jack,” Bender wrote with a photo of his sister.
As a director on the show, there is no doubt Jack could have gotten the show to dedicate the season to her. Hence, she is another candidate for Jill Green although her full name is unconfirmed.
