Max Verstappen crowned champion, these last two rounds of the year (Qatar, November 29-December 1, and Abu Dhabi, December 6-9) will be driven by the fight for the Manufacturers' title. Two candidates stand out: the leader McLaren and its pursuers Ferrari.
However, none of them shone in Las Vegas where Mercedes, with its double carried by George Russell, attracted all the spotlight. However, this battle between McLaren and Ferrari has tightened somewhat, to the advantage of the Italians who have managed to reduce the margin.
Thanks to the 3rd and 4th places of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, the Reds registered 27 units against 15 on the English side (Lando Norris 6th with the best lap in the race and Oscar Piastri 7th), to come back to only 24 lengths behind two Grands Price of the final whistle (608 against 584).
« We maximize the points given the potential we had in the raceraised Frédéric Vasseur, Ferrari team principal. Mercedes was clearly faster than us. So we are 3rd and 4th just behind them. We will see at the end of the year if it is a good result or not but we manage to regain points from McLaren, from Red Bull… So we will put it in the good weekends even if there is a little frustration because we were not very far from being able to do even better. »
