A few months after deliberately shooting himself after a couple's argument, Kendji Girac returned to his relationship with his wife in the show “Un Dimanche à la campagne”, Sunday November 24 on France 2.

A month after his first public appearance since he was injured with a gun last April, the singer spoke about the details of his private life and his handling of the drama.
“The only thing I needed was my daughter, my wife, my family,” he explained to presenter Frédéric Lopez and to Dany Boon and Virginie Grimaldi, guests of the show. The singer admitted to having chosen isolation: “I cut myself off from everything, I didn’t watch TV for a month”.

“She is a very strong woman”
The presenter asked him how his wife, Soraya Miranda, had experienced the situation. “She was shocked by what was said about her because nothing was true,” the singer stressed. “She is a very strong, wonderful woman who managed to get me back on my feet,” he continued. Kendji Girac said he was now “happy as ever”.

Kendji Girac almost lost his life after deliberately wounding himself by gunshot on the night of April 21 to 22, 2024 in a Traveler camp in Biscarosse, in the Landes.

The judicial investigation is formal: the singer had shot himself. “I wanted to make Soraya hear the sound of the trigger, so that she wouldn’t leave,” he told the prosecutor according to The Parisian.
